Our Activities in 2005 In 2005 Aswats expanded more. We were able to bring even more attention to Palestinian gay women issues.  We formed partnerships with more and more groups and individuals, and got more resources and visibility. Read more >> Women in Black World Conference in Jerusalem The fourteenth annual Women in Black conference was held in August 12th-16th in East Jerusalem. The conference, which was organized by the Coalition for Women in Peace, Bat Shalom, Jerusalem Link, and many other individuals and groups, aimed to promote dialogue amongst a diverse group of women about issues pertaining to the occupation of Palestine.  Meeting with Haifa Forum for Gays and Lesbians and with Queer4Peace group A number of Aswat's members had a meeting on the 22nd of August 2005 with Haifa Forum for Gays and Lesbians and with an Italian group representatives of Queer4Peace organization. AWID Conference in Bangkok Rauda Morcos- The Coordinator of Aswat, took part in AWID Conference which was held in Bangkok from the 27th to the 30th of October. She came back with a lot of stories and what follows is part of her report about this event.
