Art, Resistance and Social Change program

Aswat recognizes Art as an expressive tool of sexuality, identity and resistance to oppression.

Our program provides a platform for artivism, organizes exhibitions for emerging young Palestinian artists, mainly women and trans and hosts public forums for open discussions on sexuality, sexual orientation and gender identity within the Palestinian sociopolitical context, to showcase their work and promote an alternative Palestinian art culture as a powerful tool to address and discuss sexuality issues within the community, and to organize on the grassroots level.
